Here is our mission!

Meals for the City
A free community meal served every Tuesday to anyone who comes to our door between 5:30-6:30 PM.  A free breakfast served every Saturday morning to anyone who comes to our door from 9:00-10:00AM.  To be our guest, enter at the courtyard gate on Orange Street.

We partner with other Meals for the City    A free community meal served every Tuesday to anyone who comes to our door between 5:30-6:30 PM.  A free breakfast served every Saturday morning to anyone who comes to our door from 9:00-10:00AM.  To be our guest, enter at the courtyard gate on Orange Street.

We partner with other congregations and organizations using our kitchen to connect our Christian faith with an offering of food and friendship. We are grateful for our partners in this mission as we served over 16,000 meals in 2016.

The Lancaster Women’s Winter Shelter
The Winter Shelter, hosted at the YWCA on Lime Street, is a ministry of the Lancaster County Council of Churches and facilitated by caring individuals and houses of worship of which FRC is one. Our combined community resources provide shelter and hope for homeless women and their children.

The shelter operates from the 1st Monday in December through the 1st Monday in April. With the exception of the part-time Winter Shelter coordinator, the shelter is staffed entirely by volunteers.   (visit the council of churches shelter page) We volunteer to help cover time at the shelter as well as engage in various fundraisers for the shelter.

National Multiple Sclerosis Society Benefit Concert
An ongoing tradition, this benefit concert, which happens late in the Christmas season, is a standing room only event featuring QuintEssentially Brass providing a wonderful mix of instrumental music. All proceeds collected that evening are given to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society. Please join us for the concert and a time of delectable refreshments and fellowship afterward.

12 Step Programs
The church’s commitment to the city provides opportunities for programs such as AA, NA and SA to meet in our education building. Between the 3 groups, there are 7 meetings held each week.
